A Strong Hamden Starts from the Ground Up
Empowering public schools, public spaces, and public trust.
Meet Katie
I am Katie Kiely, a Democratic two-term Hamden Councilwoman and a local elementary school teacher. I work every day to build a town that supports every family, every block, every classroom.
Iām running for re-election because I believe in the power of real dialogue, reliable information, and shared responsibility to create real results.
Leading with Dignity
Our community deserves leaders who listen, respect, and build bridges even when we disagree. The Dignity Index is one way to hold ourselves accountable to a higher standard of dialogue. I am committed to leading with dignity and invite you to learn more about how this approach can strengthen our democracy.
My Priorities for Hamden
Strong Public Schools
I advocate for equitable funding, resources in the classroom, and policies that put students first.
Safe, Beautiful, Usable Public Spaces
Our parks, sidewalks, and shared spaces should reflect the pride we have in our neighborhoods.
Transparent and Tangible Communication
Clear, timely updates and real engagement.
Shared Growth & Investment
Encouraging responsible development and equitable investment across all of Hamden.
